Guide School Braves Weather and Elements on the Rogue
Our whitewater guide school faced four days of pounding rain on the Rogue River this past week as they watched the river rise from 2200 cfs to over 4600 cfs. The class encountered an impromptu “rip” session on the first day after a six inch tear to one of the boats. The same boat, now referred to as “Karma,” also led to an impromptu “wrap” class at Blossom Bar on day three.
Everyone reports cold weather, a great time, and tons of learning. The class is now headed to brave an overnight on the Class IV Tuolumne River near Yosemite.
